The pinnacle of Valorant esports is upon us.
Valorant Champions 2024 is the culmination of a year-long global competition. Sixteen elite teams from international leagues have secured their place in the tournament.
These squads represent the best of Valorant esports, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork.
Seoul, South Korea, will host the grand stage for this ultimate showdown. Only one team will be crowned the new kings of Valorant.
What is Valorant Champions Seoul 2024?
Valorant Champions is the annual world championship for Riot Games’ competitive Valorant. The 2024 edition marks the fourth year of the tournament.
Sixteen teams, four from each of the VCT’s international leagues, Pacific, Americas, China, and EMEA, will compete for the world championship title. These teams have earned their spots through rigorous competition in the Kickoff, International Leagues, and Masters events.
The tournament will be held in Seoul, South Korea. The initial stages takes place at theCOEX Atrium, a venue with over 800 seats known for hosting musical performances.
The tournament’s Finals shift to the iconicInspire Arena, a state-of-the-art 15,000-seat arena renowned for hosting major K-pop events.
Valorant Champions 2024 format
The tournament begins with the group stage. Sixteen teams are divided into four groups of four teams each. Each group has a double-elimination bracket, which means that teams who lose twice are eliminated.
All matches in the group stage are best-of-three. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
The eight teams that advance from the group stage continue their run in a double-elimination bracket.
All matches in the playoffs, except for the lower bracket final and the grand final, are best-of-three.
The lower bracket final and the grand final are best-of-five series.
August 1 — Group B opening matches

August 4 — Group D opening matches
Team Heretics and DRX advance to the playoffs.
Trace Esports and G2 Esports advance to the playoffs.
FunPlus Phoenix and Bilibili Gaming are eliminated.
Talon Esports is eliminated.
August 10
Sentinels and Fnatic advance to the playoffs. Gen.G Esports and KRU Esports are eliminated.
August 11
Leviatan and Edward Gaming advance to the playoffs. Team Vitality and Paper Rex are eliminated.

August 14—Upper bracket quarterfinals
Sentinels and Edward Gaming advance to the upper bracket semifinals. DRX and Trace Esports drop to the lower bracket.
August 15—Upper bracket quarterfinals
Leviatan and Team Heretics advance to the upper bracket semifinals. Fnatic and G2 Esports drop to the lower bracket.
August 16—Lower Bracket round 1
DRX and Fnatic advance to the lower bracket quarterfinals. Trace Esports and G2 Esports are eliminated.
August 17—Upper bracket semifinals
Edward Gaming and Leviatan advance to the upper bracket final. Sentinels and Team Heretics drop to the lower bracket.
August 18—Lower bracket quarterfinals
Sentinels and Team Heretics advance to the lower bracket semifinal. Fnatic and DRX are eliminated.
August 23
Upper bracket final
Edward Gaming advance to the grand final. Leviatan drop to the lower bracket final.
Lower bracket semifinal
Team Heretics advance to the lower bracket final. Sentinels are eliminated.
August 24—Lower bracket final
Team Heretics advance to the grand final. Leviatan is eliminated.
August 25 — Grand final
Edward Gaming wins Valorant Champions 2024. Team Heretics is the tournament’s runner-up.
