It wouldn’t be a cowboy game without a good old-fashioned heist and this chapter inEvil Westdelivers just that. However, it comes with a twist as instead of ripping off some random location like aBandit, this little criminal caper has a more justifiable cause.

Get Into The Bank

None

Getting geared up atCalicois still off the table, the place is wrecked for the foreseeable future and the game never takes you back there as the last two missions play out. Instead, you’re dropped right into the thick of things on the main street of the town whereFelicity’sBankis located. Taking a few steps forward triggers a big ambush fromServant Gunslingersand aGatling Gunat the end of the road, but thankfully there is some cover you take against the houses on the street.

TheGunnercan also be sniped with theRentier Riflefrom where you begin, but anotherUndeadwill take their place in a few moments. So deal with theGunslingersand make your way quickly to the left side of the street near the middle. There’s a gap you’re able to slip through to avoid theGatling’sconstant fire, and as you go around the corner in this alleyway you’ll be able to pick up the first bag ofCollectible Bucksfor this chapter.Evil Westby this point will be showering you with cash, it’s worth saving up for now and then spending it all on some solid perks before the final chapter starts.Chapter 16 is a big difficulty spike, so use what you can here to make sure you’re prepared.

Evil West: Jessie Walking Down The Main Street Towards The Bank

Chapter 15 is the last mission in the game to containcollectible lore notes. There are only two, and they’re at the end, but they’re easy to miss.

Run up the stairs and as you go around there’ll be a glowing box withBuckson the left next to a barrel and some Apples. Follow the path up the stairs and over the gap, as you drop down into this new area there’ll be a shed on the left, go inside. In there is a bag ofBuckson a shelf.Break the nearby barricade and go up the stairs. There’ll be anEnergy Rechargeon your right and a gap to cross on the left, it’s worth taking this pickup if your levels are low becausethe gap ahead is a trap.

Evil West: Jessie Encountering The First Bag Of Bucks In The Chapter

The plank breaks asJessiecrosses it, dropping him into a lovely big group ofVampiresthat will immediately try to pound him into the dirt. This fight is very simple and despite it being in a small and cramped area, it’s just a big group ofServant GunslingersandServant Brutes. They’re not too hard to deal with and this is a good brawl to farm up someHealthandEnergywith perks if you’re running low. Once they’re dead, just hop up the chain at the back to move on.

AsJessieclimbs up on top of theRailway Bridge, get ready to start running. There’s anotherGatling Gunat the end of the tracks that will absolutely ripJessieto shreds the second he gets up there. To deal with this hazard, get out theRentier Rifleas soon as you can and wait for theGatling’sweak point to flash.Shooting this will daze the Gunner for a few seconds, so use that time to get across the gap and sprint towards them across the short bridge before they can fire again. There’s a bag ofBucksat the end of this path as well as a reward for your efforts.

Evil West: Jessie Fighting Servant Brutes And Servant Gunslingers

Take a breather for a moment, because the next fight you drop into is a little tricky. The space is pretty small and to keep you company there’s someZealots, aLeecher, andInfected Proteuschucking bugs from range. Get theProteusdown as quickly as possible and then deal with theZealots. TheLeecherwill take too long to wear down and the axe tosses of theZealotscan make this brawl more frustrating than it needs to be. There’s also aGatling Gunnerright at the back that you can’t get to, so try to stick to the sides of the street to avoid its fire.

After the brawl ends, run down the alley to the right and into the shed, this is where you’ll pick up theDeath RayUpgradefor theRentier Gatling. It substantially improves your old rotary friend as it replaces the barrel with aTesla Coil. Instead of a hail of bullets, an electrified, Ghostbusters Proton Gun-Esque beam blasts out. This long-reaching ray will not only curve and follow targets, but anyone that walks near either the energy stream or the target getting hit with it will also be blasted.

Evil West: Jessie Watching A Leecher, Infected Proteus And Zealots

TheDeath Rayturns theRentier Gatlinginto the penultimate crowd-control weapon. It’s also extremely good atSkill Dumpingdamage onto tougher monsters or bosses.Highly recommended to unlock it if you may afford it.

After getting your new toy, make sure to break the barricade inside this building. Behind it is achestwith667 Bucksinside, a nice haul not worth missing. Leave the shack and make sure tocheck the alcove on the rightbefore climbing up the short wooden ramp in front of you. There’s aglowing boxwithBucksthat can be easily run past if you’re not paying attention. Cash grabbed, go over the ramp, and into another fight.

Evil West: Jessie Attacking Vampire Zealots And Vampire Ghauls

To start things off, this brawl featuresZealotsandGhauls. It’s a little challenging, but theTNTboxes can make short work of them if you get theUndeadinto a big clump around one. TheGhaulswill be the most annoying as they’ll heal each other and theZealots, so deal with them first since you can justZap PullthenE-Combothem. After a few of these dudes drop, aGasterwill join in. That’s the priority target now.Once they’re all dead the fight will finish and you can move on.

As you hop over the barricade and run down the alley towards the stairs, look left. There’s aglowing boxwithBucks, there’s another bag ofBucksjust up the stairs next to the chain.Look across the gap and then above it. Shoot the target up there to drop a chain, and climb up it onto the roof. As you hop up there’ll be a bag ofBucksahead, and when you go up the stairs, keep going forwards towards theglowing boxwithBucksin it directly ahead of you, there’s treasure hidden behind there. Shoot the boxes or use anExplosive Bundleon them, melee hits won’t harm them.

Evil West: Jessie Destroying Boxes To Reveal A Hidden Path

A chain will be revealed that will allow you to drop into a gap between the buildings where there’s aHidden Chestto open. Inside this fancy box is theFire And Forget Upgradefor theRentier Gatlingand a nice pile of cash in your pockets. Retrace your steps back to the roof, and climb up onto the roof of the adjacent building after going over the short wooden bridge. Once you get up onto this area, head to the other side of the roof, grab theBuckson the left, and use the interaction point to getJessieto jump onto the next building.

TheFire And Forget Upgradefor theRentier Gatlinggives the belt of the gun a25 percent permanent buffto damage, length of fire, and invulnerability time if synergized withCocoon. It’s a hefty enhancement to theRentier Gatling.

Evil West: Jessie Finally Approaching The Bank And The Vampires Outside

Walk along the balcony and ride the Zipline down. You’ll probably notice the rather large crowd ofVampiresin the street before you do this, these are the first wave in what’s going to be your last but most difficult fight. Guarding theBankis a lovely selection ofBoo-Hags, twoLeechers, and aZealotto begin with. There are also twoGatling Gunners, one on either side of the roof of theBank. TheUndeadfiring from the roof can be easily avoided if you stick close to the building or the two opposite sides of the arena. Going into the main street will just get you killed quickly.

If you’re having a hard time with this fight, try to focus on theHagsfirst, then theZealot, before finishing with the Leechers. If you can, justSkill Dump on the big ladsas that will wear them down quickly, theHagscan be minced with melee easily by this point so don’t waste your big moves on them. Once they’re dead, shoot theGatling Gunnersto permanently kill them, and blow up the front of theBank.

Evil West: Jessie Observing Personal Vaults That Have Been Blasted Open

Hop over the barricade and go inside theBank, on the right on a counter is the first collectible lore note for this chapter, it’s aDrawing By Felicity, how sweet. After collecting that, head towards theBank Vault, butdon’t interact with it. Turn 180 degrees, directly opposite is a door, if you get close enough a prompt will appear that will allowJessieto open it. Behind this door is aHidden Chestthat will give you a freePerk Pointand some more cash. Now go to the Bank Vault.

Toss anExplosive Bundleat the door to break it open. Inside will be aGlamour Wallto trigger and trails toGlamour Sealsto follow. Before leaving this room, verify to check both walls. Blowing the door will break open a few personal safes and there are a couple of bags ofBucksinside each one that will give you a healthy amount of cash to use on upgrades. There’s also aPerk Reset Machinein the lobby of the Bank if you feel like changing your build before the next chapter.

Evil West: Jessie Activating His Overcharge As A Vampire Highborn Attacks

Leave the bank and walk into the middle of the street. From there you should be able to get a clear shot at the twoGlamour Sealsthat are outside. Another one will form inside the building, but firstJessiewill have to deal with aVampire Highbornthat drops in. It’s also not alone, it’ll be joined byZealotsand aStalkerto make things more challenging. Deal with theStalkerfirst before it can hamper your mobility, then theZealots, and finally theHighborn. Unless you canSkill Dumpdamage on the bigVampirefast enough, he’ll just keep regenerating to prolong the fight. Plus, trying to interrupt the regen just opens you up to sucker punches from the otherGhouls.

Once this entourage is worn down, head back to the entrance of theBank. There will be a barricade to hop over that wasn’t accessible before. Follow this path around and up the stairs to the top floor of theBank, then just follow the tendrils to theSeals. Before leaving this floor, make sure to sweep the bookcases and the balcony path on the right side of the building. There’s a few bags ofBucksscattered around up there and the lastcollectible lore notefor this chapter, it’s a picture ofPeter D’Abano and Felicity.

Evil West: Jessie Threatening Peter D’Abano With Fire

After theGlamour Sealsare destroyed, go back into the main vault where the original tear is located.Jessiewill do his thing and then a rather interesting cutscene will follow. Turns out that underneath theBankisPeter D’Abano. SeemsFelicityhad him stored away in a big bath of blood in the safest place she knew. Unfortunately, old Petey boy hasn’t fully regenerated yet and is still just a disembodied head, shame that.

It doesn’t stop him from monologuing like he has some advantage, even though he can’t move at all. SoJessiedecides to threatenD’Abanowith a gruesome fiery coating to his bath.D’Abano instantly caves, telling Jessie what Felicity’s plans are. Turns out she’s going to try to assassinate or infectPresident Grover Clevelandat theChesterfield Opera House in Washington DC. There’s a premiere on and his personal security is almost non-existent. SoJessietakesD’Abanos’shead with him as heleaves on an Airship to go save the President.
