What is Primal Lord in AFK Journey? Learn how to defeat this boss and reap rewards

InAFK Journey, there are numerous formidable enemies to defeat, but none stand out more than the Primal Lord.
There are two Primal Lords in the game, Alpha Bear and Lone Gaze, and only one appears at a time per server.
These bosses typically spawn for a week and can only be defeated with the help of all the players in a server, due to their massive HP.
Once defeated, a Primal Lord boss yields generous rewards based on the amount of damage each player inflicts, such as Hero Essence and Training Manuals.
Here’s how to fight the boss in AFK Journey, and the corresponding rewards for defeating it.
How to unlock the Primal Lord event in AFK Journey
To participate in the Lone Gaze event, you need to have at least 90 Resonance and have unlocked Dark Forest Five.
The boss is located on the southern side of the map above the Old Outpost.
The Alpha Bear takes longer to unlock as you need to have unlocked the Vaduoso Mountains Five area, which means a Resonance level of more than 150.
To fast travel to these bosses, just click on the map, then the Primal Lord button on the upper left side of the screen.
Best lineups for Primal Lord Alpha Bear and Lone Gaze in AFK Journey
It’s best to use your five strongest heroes in the Hands of Resonance when defeating these bosses to get the most rewards.
Furthermore, it’s recommended you use one tank, two support, and two marksmen characters when facing these bosses.
You can also swap one marksman with a warrior, depending on their rarity.

As for Artifacts, you’re able to use Starshard Spell if you have two support characters on your lineup for the extra damage.
If your healers are not upgraded yet, go for Awakening for the healing boost.
Primal Lord rewards
Players can take on the boss thrice a day, and attempts reset at 00:00 UTC+0.
Once the boss is defeated, everyone who has participated in the event gets a reward based on the time taken to defeat the boss.
Here are some of the rewards players get once the boss is slain.
The top 200 players who have dealt the most damage to the boss receive more rewards, aside from the server-wide rewards they’ll earn.
