Black Ops 6 will not be the only Call of Duty game on XBox Game Pass, as reports suggest Modern Warfare 3 is next to join the lineup for Microsoft’s game subscription service.
Big news hit in May when Black Ops 6 was confirmed as a day-one release on Game Pass.
This was a major win for fans, as it marked the first time a CoD game would be available on Microsoft’s gaming service from the get-go. But, according toInsider Gaming, Black Ops 6 won’t be the first CoD game that would become playable on Game Pass.
Launched in November 2023 as a direct sequel to MW2, MW3 was initially met with mixed reviews, but it ultimately claimed the title of the second best-selling game of the year, coming in just behind Hogwarts Legacy.
Now, reports have discovered that it’s arriving on Game Pass, even before the freshly announced Black Ops 6.
When is MW3 Game Pass release date?
MW3 Game Pass release is likely during the last weeks of July, according to reports.
Since this report hasn’t yet been confirmed by Activision or Microsoft, we don’t have a set release date. However, leakers are confident that an official announcement is coming any day now, and that the game will be available on the all-you-can-eat subscription service in the latter half of July.
Based on this information, players can expect MW3 to be launched on Game Pass within a week.
This is hot off the heels of Game Pass’ recent price hike and new standard tier addition that bars users from playing a game on day one.
However, the $3 hike in Game Pass Ultimate comes with access to a larger library of games and instant access to new releases.
If the report is true, players will get plenty of time to prime their aim upon the MW3 Game Pass release and prepare for Black Ops 6, which will become playable on July 29, 2025.
