Calicoisn’t just about cats. There are multiple different adorable animals to add to your collection. Pick up new-found animals to add them to your notebook list, or have them join your cat cafe. Who says a cat cafe can’t have a red panda? There are different biomes to unlock in Calico; some animals are harder to find than others.

Heart Village
Heart Village is your starting area where your cat café will be located—no need to unlock anything. There arethree main areas. The cafe, past the river where the hillAutumn’s houselay on, and then themain town square.
Do note that some animals cannot be accessed without the ability to fly, and the true ability to fly doesn’t come until later in the game. You are able to pick up any bird, put them on your head, and glide with them, but this isn’t the same.
To fly, you must have unlocked the Witching Woodsand continued a quest between Autumn and Rosa that allows Autumn to make the Big Small potion work on birds.
With a big bird, you may mount it and fly.

Chompy
A black cat in town,near the path in front of Lily’s house.
Forest Spirit Cat
This cat is locatedbehind the left side of the cafe. Forest Spirit cat is very big and colorful. He sits on top of mushrooms, so you’ll need to look up.
You cannot access him without the ability to fly. To add him to your entries,you must mount him since you cannot pick him up.)

Tiger
Tiger is a sandy-colored cat that is hard to find unless you’re looking. He is in the same location as Forest Spirit Cat, except he’s on the ground.Behind the left side of the café where there is a tree with a door.
Pudgems
A very chubby calico found in town,on the hill in the middle.

Boots
A black dog with a blue necktie. Head across the bridge and river that is to the right of the café. Boots iswandering the fields on the left, near the cliffs.
Aussie
An Australian Shephard between the path to the Snowbell Mountains and the center of town.

Stanford
A white bunny rabbit sitting inthe fenced-in area beside Ash’s housein town.
A crownear the bridgethat is to theright of the café.
Inkwell
A crow or raven infront of Autumn’s house, which ison top of the large hillPoe is near.
Snowbell Mountains
To unlock the Snowbell Mountains,you must speak with Autumn and acquire the Big Small potion. Use the potion on any animal that isn’t a bird, mount them, and thenram through the blockage to the left of your café.
There are two locations, Freya’s house, and Lumi’s onsen. There are also two other entrances to and from the mountains that will be blocked off until further notice.
You will have walked past one of the entrances, just before Freya’s house and before the bridge leading into Cutie City. The other entrance is behind the mountain the onsen is on, leading to Witching Woods.

Marshmallow

An abnormally large white bunny in front of the onsen.
Sugar
A very small white foxbehind the hillthe onsen is on.Instead of walking up the hill, continue behind it.

Cutie City
To unlock Cutie City, you first have tobump into the construction cats in Snowbell Mountains. When entering the mountains from the cafe,head left instead of going up the mountain path.
A construction cat will be guarding other sleepy construction cats. Speak to the cat, then go talk to Freya. Freya will want to bring the Owl Club back into business in order to address this blockage concern. You will have to complete the quest of bringing the Owl Club back together to unlock the entrance to Cutie City.
Once the construction cats leave, the second entrance to the city will be free as well. This entrance ispast the town center, near Mayor Kiva’s house.
Calico 4D
This is a bigger, calico cat that is hard to acquire. The cat ison top of the highest purple buildingin the city.

Merry

Mister Snuggles
You can only unlock Mr Snuggles through a quest of Xin’s.verify to ask if she needs help every day.
He is not found anywhere on the map, as he is under Xin’s hat.

A beige raccoon behind the street Safeena is on, between some buildings.

Clover Coast
The entrance to Clover Coast is from Cutie City. Next to Steve’s house, there is a construction cat and a bunch of large flowers blocking the way to the fields beyond.
Speak to the construction cat to start the quest.You will have to talk to some flower experts like Lily and her dad and Blossom on the hill.Talk to Mayor Kivato initiate the removal of the poisonous flowers.

Vibes
This is a grey and white cat in the fields. The general location isnearest to the stairs and cliff where the field ends, and the beach begins.
(By far one of the hardest animals to find for players due to cats being small and the field being huge. Try restartingwithout any animals on you, or tryusing a cat toy.)
Golden Grove
To get inside Golden Grove, you must get rid of the giant sleeping cat in the log in Heart Village.Speak to Kai in Clover Coast to discuss removing the cat.
You will have to get something for Kai’s lighthouse, and then you must control the light. Move the light around until the giant cat jumps up. After this happens, you may enter Golden Grove through the log.
Murphy
A big black and white dog past Cloudy, going towards Daisy’s house.
An opossum beside or behind Gabby’s house.
Country Oinks
A brown boar. From Daisy’s house,take the path to the right.
A sheep down the pathacross from the giant, sleeping calico.
Dear
A brown deer near the pond in front of Gabby’s house, which is on the center hill.
Focsimile
A red fox near the bridge to Clover Coast,left of the log entrance.
A brown catnear the log entrancefrom Heart Village.
Penny
A grey cat near some cliffs that overlook Clover Coast. Near Country Oinks.Take a left from the log entrance.
Witching Woods
To unlock the Witching Woods, you must speak to all the witches, such as Gabby, Lumi, and Autumn. Gabby will first suggest crafting a large toy to distract the cat from napping at the entrance to the Witching Woods.
You will have to get the other witches to imbue their magic into the toy.When you use the toy onthe giant cat, a cutscene will occurwhere it seems like the end of the game.
Credits will roll. Wait until the end of the ride, and the cat will plop you in the Witching Woods in front of Rosa’s house.
Tac
An inverted small cat up the pathto the right from Rosa’s house. You will see the inverted-colored circle from afar.
An elongated dog found down the path from Rosa’s house.
Softy
An alpaca found up a hill that is tothe left of the entrance to the cafe. (The entrance to the cafe is beside the waterfall pond.)
Roly Poly
An extremely round and bouncy calico found near the path toward the cafe.
Tiny
An extremely tiny grey cat that can be hard to spot, on the path entrance to Golden Grove.
