Identifying Chests And Bringing Fortes
Since there are multiple collectibles in Dragon Quest Treasures, you’ll want to understand their differences.Chestsare the boxes you’ll come across on the map. They’re always there, and you can identify them using theScan Forte, which highlights themyellow. You can also come acrosstreasures and Bric-a-Bracs, which look more likebright, glowing spotson the ground.
If you plan to find the various chests, you’ll want to bringScanto help you find them. You should also bringLaunchandGlideto help you travel around the map. Launch will make jumps easier, while Glide can help you withwind tunnelsand reaching various areas.

Hinterquarters Chest Locations
As you explore theHinterquarters, you’ll want to search for thewoodenandcolored chestsin the area.

If you want to go with the most common option, you should first search for thewooden chests. You’ll come across plenty of them, so you may struggle to track them all.

In acave area southofDerriere Glacier. Enter from thenorth portionof themountain area.
SoutheastofDerriere Glacierandnortheastof thefirepitnearby. You’ll find it on anice blockin theriver.
WestofDerriere Glacier, near themap’s edge. You’ll find it next to atree.
Follow theriver westofDerriere Glacier. Go to theleftside of theriver split, and you’ll find it on anice blocknear theisland’s edge.
Westof theGlacier Junction Station. You’ll find it under thelarge rib cagenear theisland’s edge.
JustnorthwestofGlacier Junction Station. You’ll find it on themetal structurenearby, so useLaunch.
GonorthofSwishmelt Lakeside Station. As you keep lookingwest, you’ll find ametal structure, but you’ll needStealthto enter it.
NortheastofLake Swishmeltandsouthof thefirepit. You’ll find ametal structurewith the chest, so you’ll needStealth.
GosouthwestofDerriere Glacier. You’ll find ametal structureand a break in theice eastof thestructure. Go into it and useStealthto reach the chest.
EastofDerriere GlacierandsoutheastofGlacier Junction Station. You’ll find ametal structure, so useStealth.
NorthofGlacier Junction Station, on acliff. You should bringLaunch.
You’ll find it underground,northwestofGlacier Junction Stattionandnorthof thedragon bones. You’ll have to go into ahole in the iceand useStealth.

Southof theStern Snowfields. You’ll need to enter acavefrom thenorth sideof thecliff, and you’ll find the chest.
On top of astone and metal wall,southeastof theStern Snowfield. you’re able to climb thestairsnearby.
GosouthwestfromCracktail Canyon. You’ll find ametal gatewith a hole in it. UseStealthto go under.
Go to theCracktail Canyonand climb theeast slope. You’ll find astone and metal structurewith a chest on itsouthofCracktail Canyon. you may also useGlideto reach it.
In theeastsection ofCracktail Canyon, near theisland’s edgeand on thenorth sideof the largeice block. You should bringLaunch or Glideto reach it.
On top of thelarge ice blockin theeastsection ofCracktail Canyon. BringLaunch and Glideto reach it easily.
NortheastofCracktail Canyonandnorthof thelarge ice block. You canwalkover to it, though you may want to bringLaunch.

On top of theBitterbutte Bottom Station. You can reach it by taking theeast patharound and crossing themetal bridge.
Northof theBitterbutte, though it requires you tofix every station in the gamebefore it appears.

Colored Chests
You’ll have a few colored chests to collect, but you must go throughPrincess Anemone’s questsbefore you can open them.
NorthwestofLake Swishmelt, close to the largemountain. You’ll find it in themountain’s divot.
In thewestsection ofMount Numbumb, next to atree.
GosouthwestfromCracktail Canyon. You’ll find ametal gatewith a hole in it. UseStealthto go under, and useLaunchto reach thechest.
Southof theStern SnowfieldsandwestofMount Numbumb. you may either useStealthto enter the area, or climb on the nearbymetal structurewithLaunchwhile usingGlideto reach the cliffs. You can thendrop to the chest.
