Like many of the game’s treasure hunts, it is a short diversion from the complex storylines that Geralt’s journey is remembered as. With just a light smattering of combat and contained within a tiny portion of the wider map, you’ll be done with this before you know it. Where To Start Treasure Hunt: An Unfortunate Turn Of Events

You will need to go to aharbor south of Hanged Man’s Treeto start this treasure hunt. The area in question is anabandoned site called Lover’s Landingthat drowners have taken over. You will need todefeat the lot of thembefore the site becomes inhabited again.

Drowners aren’t usually too much of a fight, but if you are just starting and are struggling, useNecrophage OilandIgni.Drowners arevulnerable to both.

With order restored, go to theeast of Lover’s Landingandsearch under a beached boat.You will find abody under the hullwith a letter. It seems that the poor man had accidentally sunken his cargo.Witcher Senses will highlight the bodyand make it easier to find. Read it to start the treasure hunt.

Finding The Sunken Treasure

Your prize is not far from the body, at the center of the river. You just need toswim over to itto take the valuable treasure within. A simple matter if not for thedrowners protecting the loot.

Underwater combat is comprised solely ofshooting targets with your crossbow.Geralt is unable to use his swords underwater.

After shooting them, the treasure is yours for the taking. The quest with automatically end here, with a small experience point reward.
