We’ve chosen the leader whose playstyle is best suited for each of the twelve zodiac signs. Civ 6 is certainly the kind of game where your personality impacts how you play - how does your style match up to your horoscope?

The entries on this list are based solely on each character’s gameplay style in Civilization 6, not on the historical personalities of their real-world counterparts.

12Aries (March 21 - April 19) - Alexander

Aries tends to push forward through any and all obstacles,never giving upuntil they have what they want. Of course, once they have it they quickly get bored andmove on to the next goal. This all-in, ever-striving approach is perfect for Alexander the Great!

Like many of the game’s more military-minded leaders, playing Alexander means constantly fighting to expand your borders. The greatest general of the ancient world getsbig bonuses for capturing prosperous cities, especially if they have Wonders. Like Aries, Alexanderdoesn’t want to wait aroundbefore starting his journey; both of his unique units, the Hetairoi and Hypasipist, appear early in the game, so you need to leverage them quickly before they become obsolete!

11Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - Poundmaker

The leader of the Cree is arguably thegame’s greatest diplomat, the best able to benefit from long-term alliances that last for the entire campaign. Like Taurus, Poundmaker’s gameplay is slow and steady, built aroundstable, close relationships with others.

While both Poundmaker (whose given name was Pihtokahanapiwiyin) and Taurus are known for their measured approach, both are also adept atreaping the rewards of hard work. In-game, Poundmaker gets access to Trade Routes earlier than anyone, and can bring in extra Food and Gold this way. His unique tile improvement, the Mekewap, also provides extra Production and Gold, further growing the Cree economy.

10Gemini (May 21 - June 20) - Catherine di Medici

When they’re at their best, Gemini seems like they can do absolutely anything. In this way, they’rea lot like France at its height. This is especially true in Civilization 6, where France is led by the Queen Mother Catherine di Medici!

Whether she’sshowing off France’s Wonders to the worldin her Magnificence incarnation orschmoozing with her fellow leadersas the Black Queen, Catherine is a quintessential Gemini. Shedoesn’t like conflict, preferring to maintain a mutually-beneficial peace, but with the Garde Imperiale she’s more than capable of defending her interests when pressed.

9Cancer (June 21 - July 22) - Gilgamesh

It’s hard to find a more loyal friend than Cancer, who isready to leap into action at a moment’s noticeto support those they care about. Gilgamesh, the leader of Sumeria in Civ 6, canfreely join wars against empires that threaten his alliesand gets combat bonuses while doing so!

Despite his burly appearance, Gilgamesh is much more than a military leader. Like Cancer, heloves art and culture, building Ziggurats to hasten Sumeria’s advancement. This has the added effect of making him a great trade partner, another reason to return his loyalty with your own!

8Leo (July 23 - August 22) - Montezuma

Everyone notices when Leo enters the room, as theycommand attention without even trying.Similarly, Montezuma always makes his presence known in any game of Civilization 6. His Aztecs can produce powerful military units at any point in the game, but that’s only half the story.

Montezuma’s specialty lies in his ability tokeep his people happythrough aggressive acquisition of luxuries and Tlachtli ball-courts. This helps keep him at the center of attention, especially in late-game races to generate Tourism. However, like Leo, Montezuma can be jealous - he’s incentivized toconquer cities that have luxuries, especially ones that he doesn’t already have access to!

7Virgo (August 23 - September 22) - Amanitore

When Virgo does something, they do it right or not at all. This methodical approach is perfect for playing as the Nubian leader, Amanitore! Awell-planned citycan be an enormous asset in Civilization 6, and few leaders benefit more fromsmart District layoutsthan Amanitore.

Amanitore gets a Production bonus toward Districts, which lets Virgo players see their perfect metropolitan sprawl come into existence all the sooner. Her real strength, though, lies in the Nubian Pyramids; these unique improvementschange their yields based on which Districts are built nearby, giving Virgo a powerful tool in their quest for the ideal build.

6Libra (September 23 - October 22) - Cleopatra

Cleopatra offers a reasonably balanced style thatrewards good gameplaywithout relying on tricks or oddball strategies. This makes her a good choice for Libra, and it doesn’t stop there! Cleopatra likes to use rivers and floodplains to her advantage, especially when she can get extra bonuses from her Sphinxes;logic-loving Librawill have a great time finding the best layout for their Nile queendom.

The release of theRulers Of The SaharaDLC pack gave Cleopatra an alternate persona. Libra can be indecisive at times, so having a different version of Cleopatra to play means that they can try a new style without straying too far from their comfort zone!

5Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) - Cyrus

Scorpio hasan independent streak a mile long, so they might find more success with a character focused on internal prosperity. Cyrus, King of Persia, is a perfect fit. His economy focuses onestablishing trade routes between his own cities, reaping all the benefits of his success without having to rely on other players.

Of course, Scorpio is a water sign as well, so Persia’s focus on developing their culture willsatisfy their craving for discovery.With Pairidaezas and Theater Squares dotting their empire, a Scorpio-led Persia will be the envy of the world!

4Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) - Dido

Sagittarius players are sure to love theexploration and discovery gameplayof Civilization. While there are several leaders who can match Sagittarius' adventurous spirit, the Phoenician Queen Dido lets them wander to their hearts' content!

Dido excels at finding new lands to settle and new neighbors to trade with, particularly along sea routes where she can put Phoenicia’s impressive naval power to use. Best of all, if you aren’t satisfied with your starting position, or just want a change of scenery, Dido has the unique ability tomove her capital to a different city. This versatility is perfect for Sagittarius' long and winding journeys across the map.

3Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) - Shaka

Capricorn has the ambition to set lofty goals and the dedication to see them through,driven by the promise of success. Players looking for a forward-thinking approach to gameplay whereeach victory leads to more down the roadwill have lots of fun as Shaka, the leader of the Zulu.

Shaka is one of the game’s more militaristic leaders, but hisfocus on individual excellencefor his units is unmatched. He gains the ability to form Corps and Armies well before the game’s other leaders, giving him a powerful mid-game edge in combat. In fact,conquering a cityrewards the victorious unit with a free upgrade to the next tier if one is available! There’s no more Capricorn way to win wars.
