10Jump Up And Dance!

You wouldn’t expect Mario to be a dancing master, but this mustached hero has a couple of tricks hidden under his cap. In fact, did you know that Mario had an entire Dance Dance Revolution game dedicated to his smooth moves?

That’s right. Back in the GameCube era, Mario was tearing it up and showing off his cool footwork, all while dancing to his ownremixes and classical songs. Additionally, Mario showed off some of these moves while Pauline was singing inSuper Mario Odyssey. Speaking of Pauline…

9No Power Up Like Dancing

Pauline is quite the dancer herself! After getting her band back together, the Mayor of New Donk City treats Mario and all the New Donkers to a special concert. In this performance, Pauline not only sings, but she dances as well.

Though her steps are simple, limited by how far she can move away from her microphone, Pauline makes sure to add her own style to her movements. Her spins, seesawing steps, and jumps add a fun twist to an already exciting show. You can’t help but want to jump along.

8Do A Ribbon Twirl

Ribbon Girl is one of the characters from the fighting gameARMS. As both an ARMS fighter and a talented pop singer, Ribbon Girl’s style of dance balances her fluttering, twirling movements with her ability to punch people. Not to mention that her ribbons add an extra layer of flair to her graceful jumps and powerful attacks.

Her dance off opponent will have to do some really fancy footwork to compete against her grab and pirouette combo. That is, if they can navigate the Ribbon Ring, an arena with rising platforms that happens to be Ribbon Girl’s personal stage.

7Upgrade And Sway

If you ever find yourself running out of weapon, shield, or bow space, Hestu is the Korok to go to. As long as you have enough Korok seeds, Hestu will gladly help you out. And he’ll do this upgrade with a shake of his maracas and a fun little dance.

Granted, the dance isn’t much, just a quick turn and some foot taps, but it is a joy to watch. If only Link could’ve joined in and performed with him.Alas, our green hero is a little too stoic for that.

6Watch Your Aqua Step

Though there are many Pokemon that can tear up the battlefield, Quaquaval stands out thanks to their unique design. Quaquaval is the final evolution of the Water-type starter Quaxly fromPokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violetand is literally called the Dancer Pokemon in their Pokedex entry.

Because of all the practicing they did as a Quaxwell, Quaquaval is able to defeat their enemies with powerful and graceful movements. And,thanks to their signature move, Aqua Step, they’ll be dancing their way to victory with an increased speed boost too.

5Shyest Shepherd, Best Dancer

Hailing fromFire Emblem Awakening, Olivia is the Shepherds only dancer unit. So, you can bet your extra bullion that she’s the best dancer on the team. Olivia’s moves are so good that it motivates others to also try their best, thus giving them an additional action turn.

This, combined with her sword abilities, makes Olivia a beautiful and deadly asset to the squad. However, Olivia is also very, very shy. So shy that, after beating her opponent in a dance off, she would probably run off and not even claim her prize.

Additionally, Callie and Marie can awe their dance off opponents with moves from City of Color, Ink Me Up, or even Now or Never! Sure, solo dancing is fun. But for the Squid Sisters, teamwork makes this dancing dream team work.

3Smooth Moves, I Choose You!

When Pokemon X and Y was first released, you were introduced to a brand-new cast of characters that had not one, not two, but four rivals. One of those rivals was Tierno, whose goal was to make the ultimate Pokemon dance team.

That’s right, instead of obtaining the Champion title or researching every Pokemon in the region, Tierno just wanted to dance. So not only will Tierno do well in a dance off, his Poke-teammates will also tear up the floor with the skills (and moves) that they learned from their trainer.

2Let’s Dance Boys (And Girls)

In addition to wielding the coolest pair of heels anyone has ever seen,Bayonettais also an amazing dancer. Ever since her first appearance back in 2009, Bayonetta’s been attacking her foes and summoning demons all while twisting and sashaying her hips to the chaotic beat.

Bayonetta will definitely win the dance off. Furthermore, she will win with such style and finesse that everyone else will drop out of the competition. No use going against a witch who can beat you on the dance floor and the battlefield.

1Return To Dance Land

Of course, the best Nintendo dancer of them all is the pink, circular, copy-ability possessing creature that isKirby. After defeating a stage or a tough enemy, Kirby can’t help but dance in victory. These victory dances have become more and more elaborate over the years, showing us that Kirby is willing to incorporate new moves into his signature, bouncing style.

Kirby’s dancing becomes even more impressive (and cuter) if you’re playing one of his games with a friend. Upon level completion, Kirby and his partner will dance in victory then strike a pose together. Nothing says teamwork like a synchronized cheer.
