After traversing through the Norse realm as a retired god slayer forced back into the business of killing gods, the last thing on your mind would be what kind of tea any of theGod of War: Ragnarökcharacters would be drinking. Although, it’s probably crossed your mind that they could use a warm drink other than mead, especially with Fimbulwinter making it rain snow.

God, giant, and anybody from the nine realms must have some favorite tea drink they could enjoy after the end of Ragnarok. Here are our guesses as to what they might be based on their personality.

12Odin - Earl Grey Tea

Odin’s ambition to be worshiped as the All-Father by anybody from the nine realms suggests that this guy drinks something intense with heavy bergamot notes which Earl Grey is notable for. He might be the type to add in a dash of sugar just so that he gets more energy, plus, it also makes him less sus for drinking something so bitter without flinching.

The benefits of tea are lost on immortals, but we could guess that it’s something he’d drink for staving off the cold of Fimbulwinter.

11Thor - Darjeeling Tea

We all know the god of thunder loves a good swig of mead and the game isn’t at all subtle about that fact, but if he were to drink anything other than liquor, darjeeling tea might be something he’d pick up and learn to enjoy. It’s not out of the picture when he’s able to fly around with his hammer off to high places, where Darjeeling leaves are known to grow.

Darjeeling is also a notable stress reliever, something Thor clearly needs when dealing with Odin berating him or Heimdall’s annoying antics.

10Thrud - Orange Peach Tea

Although we see Thrud for the very first time with a knife pointed at Atreus, we, later on, see that she’s a very motivated and energetic young woman who wants to be a Valkyrie. She seems like the type to drink orange and peach tea with a teaspoon of honey to match her bright and spirited personality.

As the goddess of thunder and strength, she’d love this tea variant since it does keep the heart healthy, which is something she’d need if she were to go flying around with her father’s hammer efficiently.

9Heimdall - Golden Yunnan Tea

For all his mischievous antics that can rival theMarvel Universe’sversion of Loki, Heimdall is also the god of order which is an irony in itself. We see that he has a lot of gold details adorning him, which makes us believe that he might be a fan of golden yunnan tea served with milk and honey.

Not only is it fitting for somebody who has the title of Scior of the Aesir, it also easily matches his aesthetic and aristocratic personality.

8Tyr - Masala Chai Tea

Tyr, for his title asthe god of war in the Norse realm, is also an evidently skilled cook. We know of this when he suggested being the cook for Sindri and Brok when they gave him dinner that “could be better.” For somebody who has culinary prowess, he might be interested in tea that has spices that involve hints of cinnamon and star anise, such as Masala Chai Tea.

This pacifist god might also prefer drinking this tea with milk to help blend with the stronger flavors present in this mix.

7Mimir - Ginger Lemon Tea

Strong ginger compliments the world’s smartest head, Mimir. Despite being less than half the man he used to be, he seems to still have a zest for life with all the witty remarks he makes towards the rest of the cast, which suggests that he probably wouldn’t mind putting lemon extract to balance out the strength of ginger tea.

It’s also nice to point out that ginger lemon tea does help people with focus and mindfulness, which is a good benefit to have when all you have left is your head.

Heimdall from God of War Ragnarok

6Freya - Butterfly Pea Tea

You might be thinking, what? But butterfly pea tea is colorful and calm, and Freya wasn’t anything like that for the first half of the game! She was hell-bent on killing Kratos and has bubbling resentment rooted in the events of the previous game. But for her transformative nature and her abilities as the goddess of magic, butterfly pea tea with a bit of honey might be her ideal type. The drink is known to change colors when you add citrus or honey, which surely looks magical.

She’d prefer her tea piping hot though, of course, especially with all that suppressed rage she has.

5Sindri - English Breakfast Tea

For somebody who was generally warm and caring throughout the game, we’re inclined to believe that he used to start his day with a cup of English Breakfast with a spoonful of sugar and half a glass of milk.

Never mind the heartbreaking conclusion of his arc, but if that’s to factor in what he drinks now, he’s probably cut down on the sugar and milk. He most likely starts the day out running on bitterness and caffeine these days, but we hope things get better for him eventually.

4Brok - Assam Black Tea

Brok’s straightforward and rough attitude makes us believe that he loved straight assam black tea, no sugar, honey, or milk. He probably enjoyed the earthy notes and malty aftertaste of this tea, and it resonates with his sassy replies to almost everybody he has a conversation with.

Mimir from God of War Ragnarok

Being a blacksmith is a tough job that demands your full attention unless you want to burn your hand or smash a finger while crafting the best weapons for your clientele. That alone makes us believe that he’d consume a tea that’s caffeinated.

3Angrboda - Hibiscus Tea

We meet Angrboda in Ironwood, a place full of lush vegetation, seemingly untouched by the tidings of Ragnarok. Given her environment probably had an abundance of flowers, plus her gentle and carefree personality makes, it isn’t hard to conclude that she probably drinks a floral tea.

She most likely drinks hibiscus tea in particular and probably loves its color, as a painter, for how vibrant it is when steeped. She doesn’t seem to be inclined towards drinking tea for its caffeine, which makes hibiscus tea perfect for her.
