Are we starting over?
Players will once again dive into theCall of DutyBlack Ops universe withBlack Ops 6releasing on Jul 26, 2025.
One of the important queries about the game is whether or notModern Warfare 3content will carry over to the new title after seeing it happened from MW2 to MW3.
Additionally, you may also want to know whether the MW3 content will carry forward toWarzoneas well.
In this article, we explain everything you need to know about the Black Ops 6 Carry Forward feature.
Black Ops 6 Carry Forward explained
MW3 content will not carry forward to BO6. This means your rank, weapons, skins, and progression from MW3 will not carry over to Treyarch and Raven Software’s new title.
This wasstated clearlyby Activision as they wanted to ensure everyone gets a fresh start in the new Black Ops title.
One of the reasons is that they want players to learn and know the era-specific weapons and gear in Black Ops 6 as well as its new features likeOmnimovement.
Moreover, the Black Ops theme is quite different from the Modern Warfare theme which is what the developers aim to keep. The Carry Forward feature would complicate that which is why it isn’t happening in BO6.
One exception to this is the Woods operator pack which can be unlocked for MW3 and BO6 bypre-ordering any of the digital editionsof the upcoming title.
Will Modern Warfare 3 content carry over to Warzone?
Yes, MW3 as well as MW2 content will carry over to Warzone as usual. So, after Black Ops 6’s release, Warzone will have content from three different games.
Futhermore, BO6 content for Warzone will be integrated when season 1 of the new title starts.
Similar to MW3, the Woods operator pack will also be available in Warzone by pre-ordering any of the BO6 editions.
