That said, not all classes are created equal. So we’re ranking every class spec in our The War Within class tier list.
WoW The War Within class tier list 2024
We based our tier list on popular 11.0 community rankings and class performance in PvP, PvE and raid content.
Hero talents, balance changes, and potential nerfs were also factored in. But know that any class can be S-tier as long as you have fun with it.
The War Within class rankings
World of Warcraft: The War Within kickstarts the Worldsoul Saga by introducing a slew of new content, one of which is the game’s new “Hero Talents” system, a flavorful skill-tree that shifted our rankings in a major way.
Past standouts like the Evoker are taking a backseat in The War Within for more durable DPS picks like the Frost Mage and the Death Knight in general.
You also can’t go wrong with any of the tank picks, but Brewmaster Monk and Guardian Druid display the highest survivability in 11.0.
As always, hybrid classes reign supreme due to their wider “palette” of skill expression. Viability varies once you enter Mythic+ dungeons, but overall, classes like the Paladin are plain good whether you’re just starting WoW or getting into the new expansion with your 17th toon.
