With the introduction of dragonriding inWorld of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Blizzard has taken a step away from their static flying system, introducing brand-new mechanics and an entire talent tree dedicated to the art of flying around the Dragon Isles.

With this new talent tree comesDragon Glyphs, floating tokens around each of the four zones that can only be reached by dragonriding. While many of them are meant to be found, some are a bit trickier to find. Here’s a breakdown of where to find every Dragon Glyph and why you should care about collecting them all.

What Are Dragon Glyphs?

Dragon Glyphs are theprimary currencyfor Dragonflight’s new dragonriding talent tree. With each one you collect, you may spend them on a linear set of talents thatenhance your overall flying abilities, such as faster vigor regeneration or the ability to dismount enemy players in the air.

These glyphs are alsoaccount-bound, meaning you only have to collect them once, and then any character on your WoW account can spend them on their talent trees. It only takes aroundan hour to collect all the Glyphsif you know where they are, so there’s little reason not to spend some time exploring the Isles in search of these tokens.

If you want to find the Glyphs even faster, then it’s recommended that you downloadTomTom, the popular coordinate addon. All it takes is a fast download and a /way command, and it’ll point you straight toward the Glyphs’ exact locations.

Many of the Dragon Glyphs inThe Waking Shoresare easily spotted from the ground or the sky, and as long as you know their names and can find the area on the map, it’s rather predictable where they show up. Your best bet is toscour any towers or mountains that stick out, as Glyphs are often found at the top of them.

However, there are a couple Glyphs that may leave you scratching your head. TheObsidian Throne Glyph, for example, is not found at the top of the Obsidian Citadel but rather behind it, requiring you todive into the volcanothere and have a close encounter with the lava pool.

There’s also theFlashfrost Enclave Glyph, floating on a rock overhang above the main part of the area where the quests take place. However, this can easily be seen by standing in front of thedungeon entranceto the Ruby Life Poolsand looking up.

The Dragon Glyphs of theOhn’ahran Plainsstand out even more than The Waking Shores, given the flat, rolling grassland aesthetic that the zone brings. If you see asuspicious hill or tower that looks a little too out of place, there’s a good chance it’s hiding a Glyph.

TheDragonsprings Summit Glyphcan be a bit tough to see, as it’s located right on the border of the Ohn’ahran Plains and The Azure Span. However, if youdive down from the Cobalt Assemblyinto the Ohn’ahran Plains, you’ll likely see it on the way down.

TheRubyscale Outpost Glyphis mysterious as well, as it technically isn’t in the Plains at all but instead in The Waking Shores. However, it’s still on the achievement list for the Ohn’ahran Plains Glyphs, which may throw you off. But if you may find theoutpost on the borderbetween the two zones, you can’t miss it.

The Azure Spanis where the Dragon Glyphs become far more elusive. Instead of standing out in plain sight, these Glyphs are oftentucked away within a crevice or a tree, shielding them from a casual glance.

One of the tougher Glyphs to find is theRhonin’s Shield Glyph, locatedjust south of the flight pointon the map. There’s a small tower with a mostly intact roof where the token hides, and you have todive in from the sideandenter through a collapsed openingto collect the Glyph.

Another challenging one is theZelthrak Outpost Glyph. It may take a few soars around the small encampment to realize that the Glyph is hidingamong the branches and leavesof a tall tree directly to the left of the hub area, just about halfway up from the ground.

Thaldraszusoffers just as many obstacles as The Azure Span does, more often than not hiding the Glyphswithin the domes of towers, so you may not see them if you’re riding by.

TheSouth Hold Gateis just one example of this. While you may expect the Glyph to merely be atop the tallest tower in the area, as was a trend in the first two zones, you have to swoop into the top to find the Glyphnestled away in the domed roof.

TheThaldraszus Apex Glyphis the ultimate challenge of a dragonrider. You may need to collect the other tokens first to utilize the talents, as it’s found at the peak of thetallest summit in the Dragon Isles. There aren’t many places to land to recover vigor, so you’ll have tosoar horizontally at max speed to recover vigorin the air, then useSkyward Ascentwhenever you’re able to.
