Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy RPG where you can play numerous characters, each with their unique skills and personalities. The game immerses players in a dynamic world of captivating storylines and thrilling combat experiences.
Yet, as with HoYoverse titles such asGenshin ImpactandHonkai Star Rail, acquiring all the characters in Zenless Zone Zero isn’t straightforward.
Getting your favorite Agent requires careful planning, especially for free-to-play players.

Zenless Zone Zero pity system explained
There are two types of Signal Searches in the game: Stable Channels (Star-Studded Cast) and Exclusive Channels.
The Stable Channel is the game’s permanent standard banner, featuring permanent Agents and W-Engines. Players can search for signals here by spending Master Tapes.
Exclusive Channels, on the other hand, feature time-limited agents and W-Engines and require Encrypted Master Tapes.
To pull on both banners, it’ll cost you 160 Tapes for one search.
Zenless Zone Zero Stable Channel probabilities
In the Stable Channel, players require maximum 90 Signal Searches to obtain a guaranteed S-Rank agent or W-Engine, with an A-Rank guaranteed every 10 pulls. This is known as the hard pity system.
While there are no official numbers for the game’s soft pity as of writing, based on HoYoverse’s previous title,Honkai Star Rail, which also has a 90-pull guarantee, the soft pity is estimated to occur around 70-80 pulls, or potentially sooner if lucky.
New players receive a 20% discount for their first to fifth Signal Searches, meaning a 10x pull only costs eight Master Tapes (applicable only to 10x Searches). Additionally, an S-Rank is guaranteed within the first 50 Searches.
Zenless Zone Zero Exclusive Channel probabilities
The Exclusive Channel offers the same probability of obtaining an S-Rank agent as the Stable Channel, with a rate of 0.600%. Additionally, within 90 Signal Searches, you are guaranteed to obtain at least one S-Rank agent.
When you acquire an S-Rank agent in the Exclusive Channel, there is a 50% chance it will be a time-limited agent. If it is not, the next guaranteed S-Rank agent will be the time-limited agent.
Furthermore, the W-Engines Exclusive Channel has better odds. You are guaranteed an S-Rank W-Engine within 80 draws, with a 75% chance of it being the time-limited W-Engine.
If you receive a non-time-limited W-Engine, the next guaranteed S-Rank W-Engine will be the time-limited one.

The Bangboo channel boasts the best odds among all permanent channels in the game, offering a 1% chance to obtain an S-Tier item within 80 signal searches.
Additionally, players can select one of eight S-Rank Bangboo, guaranteed within 80 draws.
Bopoon, the currency used for draws in this channel, can be acquired through Hollow Zero, Bangbuck Exchange, or the New Eridu City Fund.
